I’m leaving my review after about 2 years of use and I stand by this product oily skin/matte makeup lover. I believe the issues I ran into and address in this review are the main reasons people rate this product poorly.
I’ve found that it is a great finishing spray (meant to be used at the very end of your makeup routine) and quickly realized it’s very drying. I started pairing it with the NYX matte setting spray to bring the moisture back to makeup *before* the On Til Dawn. This was before they introduced the Powder Melt which I’m positive would also pair well with the On Til Dawn but I have not purchased it yet.
My final note would be you need to be heavy handed with the application. It says to spray 10-12 inches away from your face but I personally spray 6-8 inches away. I apply it in layers as opposed to one big spray. I spray it all over my face twice and allow it to dry in between layers. I then do short burst sprays in hard to reach areas like around my nose.
I like to do a transfer test with a tissue at the end of the day and in those hard to reach areas I will have some lifting/transfer but the rest of my face never moves when I wear it.
