Love this unique product!
This powder, compact wears many different hats. It seems to be a hybrid between a medium coverage foundation and a finishing powder.
My favorite part is the texture. It’s neither matte nor dewy but rather sits in the sweet spot of a satin with a subtle pearl finish. It is not a highlighter although I didn’t think I needed one after applying the silk bouclé over tinted sunblock and primer. It’s buildable and does cover moderately, but somehow manages to look like skin. I’m in my late 50s and it’s not easy to meet all of these needs in one product. . The attached photo is unretouched. I could’ve probably gone heavier for better coverage, but I prioritize a more natural finish.
I’m usually a light-medium neutral, and the shade ‘medium’ disappeared onto my face. It’s usually more difficult to match my skin tone, but I got lucky this time.
